Addingham Methodist Church Mission Statement
"Knowing And Growing In the Love Of God"
We believe that God is calling us to respond to the good news of God's love for us in Christ by allowing God's spirit to transform us into a community marked by "love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control".
As we become such a community we will increasingly:
- Grow as a God centred Church family.
- Be a people of grace offering acceptance and welcome to all.
- Be nourished by creative and inspiring worship, study and prayer.
- Encourage each other through sharing our gifts and experiences of life and faith.
- Be recognised in our village as a Church not constrained by walls but reaching out in witness and service.
- Develop partnerships with other churches, both Methodist and ecumenical, and other non-church agencies, where God's mission can be advanced.
- Take risks in how we use our gifts and resources so that God's love might be more clearly seen in our community, both locally and globally.
